July 15 to July 21:
  • Researching Maya Muscle system.
  • Researching Unreal Engine tessellation techniques.
  • Building the arm mesh.
  • Creating higher and lower resolution versions of the mesh.
  • Setup the basic control rig.
  • Initial skinning of the base system (all 9 final rigs will derive transforms and skinning data from this one).
  • Creation of the Maya Muscle rig.

July 22 to July 28:
  • Refining the Maya Muscle rig.
  • Using the muscle rig deformations to create blend shapes.
  • Using the blend shapes to create displacement maps.
  • Implement the dynamic tessellation rigs in UE4 using the displacement maps.
  • Export the other 6 rigs from Maya and set them up in UE4.
  • Benchmark their performance.

July 29:
  • Create video of the results.
